1 Samuel 30:31

Despair can creep in right after a major victory, after we are mistreated or betrayed by those closest to us, or if we are running out of patience for something we're excited about. In this series, we'll cover such topics and how to step out of that despair by connecting with Jesus.

Any of you out there feel as though you are struggling to keep your head above water? Do you feel at any moment the waves of despair, chaos, or suffering will crash over you for the last time, breaking you, tossing you into the depths of the ocean floor? What are we to do in times such as these? “Be strong and courageous!” Remember: Our God is big and strong!

When you're in a season of tribulation where everything seems dark, hope gives you a choice. It's that inner hope that, even though you don't know how or when, God can do something.

One day, I sat in an empty space and cried my eyes out as I whispered "He sees me through my sobs and tears," then He calmed me and reminded me of His promises. I suddenly felt the need to write out a 10-Day devotional on this beautiful name of God "EL ROI", knowing that there are other people out there like me who need to be reminded of God's ability to see. As you go through this plan, I pray that the God who sees will open your eyes to see Him at work in your life. Amen
