And He* will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will no longer exist, neither will there be grief, nor crying, nor pain anymore. The former things have passed away.”

And the One who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making everything new!” And He said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”

And I heard a great voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with men,* and He will spread His dwelling among them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them.

Then He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who is thirsty I will give water from the fountain of the water of life as a free gift.

The one who prevails will inherit these things, and I will be His God and He will be My son.

But as for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and detestable ones, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and magicians, and idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God provides light to it, and the lamp of it is the Lamb. And the nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory* into it.
