“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like the wise man who built his house on the rock.

Therefore, in all things, whatever you wish that men * would do to you, so also you do to them. For this is the Law and the Prophets.

because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it.

“Enter through the narrow gate, because wide is the gate and spacious is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter through it

Therefore if you, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

“Do not pass judgment, so that you will not be judged. For with what judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with what measure you measure, it will be applied to you.

But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like the foolish man who built his house on the sand.

And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how will you say to your brother, ‘Permit me to take out the speck from your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?

“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are rapacious wolves. By their fruits, you will know them. Are grapes gathered from thorn-bushes, or figs from thistles?

Thus, every good tree yields good fruit, but a bad tree yields bad fruit.

A good tree cannot yield bad fruit, nor a bad tree yield good fruit.

Every tree that does not yield good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
