Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me will never be thirsty again.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh yields no benefit. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life.

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on Him God the Father has set His seal.”

For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

All whom the Father gives to Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out

Simon Peter responded to Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread, he will live forever. * And the bread which I will give for the life of the world also is My flesh.”

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

I am the bread of life.

Then Jesus took the bread, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were sitting down in a relaxed posture; likewise also of the fish, as much as they wanted. And when they were satisfied, He said to His disciples, “Gather what is left over from the broken pieces, so that nothing is lost.”

Then, when they had rowed approximately twenty-five or thirty stadia,* they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat; and they were alarmed. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.”
