“For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

Jesus replied and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a person is born again, * he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

The one who believes in Him is not condemned, but the one who does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Son of God.

Now the basis for judgment is this, that the light has come into the world, and men * loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.

He must increase, while I must decrease.”

For everyone who practices evil hates the light and does not come to the light, so that his deeds may not be exposed.

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. 2 The word man is not found in the Greek text but is contextually implied. And just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, * so must the Son of Man be lifted up

The Father loves the Son and has placed all things into His hand.
