He said to them, "Why are you so afraid and filled with terror, you men of little faith and weak trust?" Then He stood up and rebuked the winds and the sea with His authoritative word, and immediately there was a perfect calm.

When Jesus heard this remarkable statement of faith, He was amazed and astonished, and He said to those who were following Him, "I tell you the solemn truth, I have not found anyone in all of Israel with such great and genuine faith as this Gentile soldier.

Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; it will be done for you exactly as you have believed and trusted." And his servant was completely healed at that precise moment, though Jesus was not physically present.

The men were utterly amazed and filled with wonder, saying to one another, "What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him and submit to His command?"
