Listen: You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a Son, and you are to name Him Jesus. This Child will be great and magnificent. He will be called the Son of the Most High God. The Lord God will give to Him the throne of His ancestor David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and ever. His kingdom will have no end—it will be eternal."

The angel said to her reassuringly, "Do not be afraid, Mary. You have found favour with God.
