And this is the confidence that we have toward Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.

For this is the love of God: that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. Now then, everyone who is begotten by God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world—our faith.

The one who has the Son has eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have eternal life.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God in order that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

We know that anyone who is begotten by God does not practice sin; for the one who has been begotten by God keeps himself by the power of God, and the wicked one does not touch him.
