This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to ʜɪꜱ will, ʜᴇ listens to us.

And if we know that ʜᴇ listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of ʜɪᴍ.

For this is loving God, that we keep ʜɪꜱ commandments. Hɪꜱ commandments are not burdensome. For everyone born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.

The one who has the Son has this life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God doesn’t have the life.

I have written these things to y’all who believe in the name of the Son of God so that y’all may know that y’all have eternal life.

We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but the one who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot touch them.
