"Just one more video,” you whisper to yourself while ignoring your alarm and staying in bed. "It's 7:30. I'll watch for ten more minutes. Then, I'll get dressed, finish my homework, and head out." But, as you flick your iPhone screen, scrolling through TikToks or Instagram stories, you soon see that you lost track of time, and it’s "8:20!” You panic, grab the first clothes you see, and race to school while nervously hoping your teacher forgets about your homework. You slide into class late, but your teacher gives you an extension, and your day winds up being pretty decent. Yet, as you drive home, you wonder how much better each day would be if you spent less time online. Maybe it would improve your grades. More importantly, maybe you’d be less stressed every morning. But still, you’re thinking, "How can I actually figure this out? Every time I try to control my screen time, I eventually give up. It’s just part of life, I guess." Look, we all face daily challenges we struggle to overcome. Thankfully, we can always ask our God for help. No matter what issue we’re facing, God wants to help us. If you need wisdom and guidance in anything, even managing screentime, ask God for help. Today, take time offline and talk to God. While you pray, take a couple of deep breaths, ask God to help you overcome your daily challenge, and thank then thank God for the wisdom He provides.
