The disciples, whose dreams of earthly Messianic glory were shattered at the bloody Cross on Mount Calvary, would never—could never—have pulled off a high-minded religious charade.
They would never have regrouped...after running in fear for their very lives.
They would never have believed...after watching their first ideas of Jesus’ purpose and mission explode into a million pieces.
They would never have boldly preached the gospel of His life, death, and resurrection.
They would never have laid down their very lives—as witness to His reality—unless . . . UNLESS . . . Jesus Christ was alive, and they knew it!
