“Find peace this Christmas”

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” (Luke 2:14)

This Christmas, if you could give to the world the one gift it needs more than anything else, what would it be?

Would it be trillions of dollars spread around to feed and house people? Would you start a new organization? Would you start a new movement? How would you go about changing this world? What is the gift the world most needs?

Now, it’s interesting that the secularists’ answer to that question would be the same answer that a theist or a Christian would give. We would all say the answer is “peace”!

However, Christians know the source of true peace. When you and I have peace with God, we have peace with ourselves and peace with others. The Scripture teaches this in the simple Christmas story. A Savior is born, a Savior that gives us reconciliation, sets us right with God through Christ. It’s only through Him that the world will find the peace it desperately wants.
