I Know Who I AmVoorbeeld

God works as we wrestle with Him. We can look to personality tests, assessments, books, culture, and coaches to frame who we are, but there is nothing like holding space and conversation with God about our identity. There is so much room in God’s presence to come as we are – approach Him honestly and without reservation – good, bad, and ugly. God wants to be with us, talk with us, and reveal mysteries and truth about His plans and thoughts for us.  

Jacob wrestles with God around the truth of his past, his insecurities, and all his faults, but God confronts Jacob with a new nature, with victory, and great blessing. God wants to flip your script.  God declares His Word over us prophetically.   

God asks us who we are.  He tells us who we are to become. He gives us a new name.
