Toe Jesus-hulle in Betsaida aankom, bring die mense ’n blinde man na Jesus toe en vra Hom baie mooi om die man gesond te maak. Jesus vat toe die man aan die hand en lei hom uit die dorpie uit. Jesus spoeg toe op die man se oë en sit sy hand op die man. “Sien jy enigiets?” vra Jesus hom. Die man kyk toe op en sê: “Ja, ek sien mense, maar net baie vaagweg. Hulle lyk amper soos bome wat rondloop.” Weer ’n keer vat Jesus aan die man se oë. Hierdie keer kon hy alles sien. Sy oë was heeltemal gesond.
