Jesus in All of Hosea

This Bible study devotional covers Hosea 1. In this passage, God tells Hosea to marry a promiscuous woman as a living picture of his relationship with Israel. God’s people have been unfaithful, and God will use Hosea to prove it to them.

This promise is pictured by Hosea paying the ransom price to bring his promiscuous wife back home once again.

Because they have trusted in political alliances and false gods, their judgment is coming. And it will be so severe that they would prefer the mountains to bury them than to face what was coming.

This Bible study devotional covers Hosea 11-14. In this passage, God calls on the sting of death to rise against his adulterous people. They have repeated the idolatry of the Exodus story, and now the plagues that came against Egypt are coming against them.
