Ezekiel was a prophet who was taken into exile when Israel was conquered by Babylon. When Ezekiel was captured and living in Babylon, the temple in Jerusalem was still standing back in Israel - but it was about to be destroyed! Ezekiel spent several years warning the Israelites in Babylon that their temple at home was going to be destroyed! After the temple was destroyed, Ezekiel prophesied about the future of Israel - a future full of hope! He told them that God would restore Israel.
