There are a lot of reasons it can be hard to be generous. Let’s face it, being generous isn’t always the easy thing! In this letter written by Paul, who was an early church leader, we are reminded not just to be ready to give but to give cheerfully. The good news is we don’t have to get there on our own. As party starters and followers of Jesus, we have an example of how to give and live generously.

Think about what you have to give. You have time, energy, influence, knowledge, and maybe even a little money! Make an effort to be generous with some of what you have this week. Ask God to help your heart be cheerful as you do.
