Forgive and Be Forgiven

The Godhead’s order of things is established in words that astonish us with a hard spiritual fact: our being forgiven is contingent upon our forgiveness of others. Our answers from God depend upon our wills to answer to God.
He refuses to raise a breed of sons and daughters who are unlike Him. He insists that every latent trait of our former heritage, as offspring of Adam’s race, be wormed out of us. He won’t allow un-forgiveness to continue. It’s not in His nature, so He confronts it in ours.
