A Lamp, a Light
The direction that comes from God’s Word is both immediately at hand as well as revealing what is distant. When the Bible says, “Your Word is a lamp and a light,” the Hebrew words are the equivalent in today’s technology to saying, “You’ll have a flashlight in one hand and a giant spotlight in the other.” Both aspects of my pathway come into view: details for today and discernment for tomorrow.
God’s Word is essential to everything in our lives. Every issue of life is covered in this precious Book.
