In John 15:4, John reminds us of our need for God.

"Remain In me," Jesus said… Without me, you are not going to be fruitful. Your life will not be fruitful.

So life is meant to be lived YOU + GOD.

You remain in Him, and His words (the scriptures) remain in you.

As we begin another year, let's focus on the fact that I need God if I'm going to make it in the way he wants me to make it.

I need his presence and his guidance.

ME + GOD does not mean that God is my plus one. He is not there to do my will and fulfill my dreams to my bidding.

It might be better, therefore, to say:

GOD + YOU, because this is about His kingdom come…His will be done!

I am here to do His will.

As we begin our three days of prayer and fasting, let us choose to submit each of these days and, of course, the year ahead to God's will.

Prayer

May Our ears be open to the voice of God. May We have our ears opened to His direction.

"Speak Lord, your servant is listening."

As we give this time to You, we ask You, Holy Spirit, to guide our time, lives, and church and use us for Your glory. Amen
