Did you know you can be an idol to yourself?

It’s true! If you’re living your life just for you, you’re being selfish. Being selfish shows you’re making yourself more important than God.

It’s okay to love yourself. It’s okay to be proud of yourself. It’s okay to stand up for yourself. But when doing things your own way is more important to you than loving God and helping others, you are an idol to yourself.

How can you keep yourself from being selfish and living just for you? Take time at the beginning of each day to worship God. Show love and respect to Him first. If you get tempted to live for yourself, you’ll remember that this day is about worshiping God only!
