Walking With Jesus Halimbawa

Nothing Good Happens in the Dark
Today we are taking a better look at the actual arrest of Jesus. A lot of parents say that nothing good happens after 10:00pm. And the same held true during the arrest of Jesus. The leaders who arrested Jesus did not arrest Him in the daylight but instead they came in secretly in the dark of night.
It is noted that they came at night for a couple reasons:
1. They were afraid of the crowds that followed Jesus each day.
2. They were under the influence of the prince of darkness (Satan), the one who is never up to any good.
Once arrested, Jesus was taken immediately to the house of the high priest. The Jewish leaders were in such a hurry to get Jesus there because they wanted to complete the execution before the Sabbath and get on with the Passover celebration.
An arrest of an innocent man betrayed by a “friend” in the night.
Today’s Scripture: Luke 22:51-53
Pray: Ask God to reveal to you His truths as you read His Word. Don’t skip this important step.
Read: As you read ask the “5 W’s and an H” questions: Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
