Who You Say I Am - Part 1Halimbawa

Joshua became the leader of the Israelite people after Moses. Joshua was to lead God’s people into the Promised Land that God had for them.
Almost 40 years before, Moses had sent 12 spies ahead to scout out the land. When they reported back most said they found huge walls and giants that were so big there was no way they could defeat them. The people were afraid! Joshua and Caleb were among the 12 spies but their report was different. Joshua said, “With God’s help we can surely do it!”
God is with us, but that doesn’t mean things are never going to be hard or scary. Some of the best things we do are hard or scary at times. Maybe starting a new school, going to the dentist, doing something daring or even making a new friend. At times we can feel afraid, not knowing what may come next.
Just like Joshua, we can trust that with God’s help we can surely do it! We don’t need to be afraid. God spoke to Joshua saying, “Here is what I am commanding you to do. Be strong and brave. Do not be afraid. Do not lose hope. I am the Lord your God. I will be with you everywhere you go.” No matter what we face, we don’t face it alone - God is with us. We can be strong! We can be brave! Wherever we set our foot, God is with us everywhere we go.
