Chances are, we all have what we think is a pretty good idea of what God thinks about sex: Don’t do it. Believe it or not, the reality is so different! God created sex, so of course He doesn’t think we just shouldn’t do it! But He does think we should use it in the context He designed it for—in the context of marriage. God tells us to stay away from sexual sin, or sex outside of His design, because God knows sex is complicated. He knows that it’s about so much more than just a physical act. But when we treat it as just a physical act, we risk hurting ourselves and others in the process. Paul reminds us that God wants us to be holy—and to be whole.
So, who is someone you can ask to help you as you honor yourself, God, and others, both physically and in relationship? This week, ask them to help you stay accountable to honor when it comes to things like dating and sex.
