FROM HOPE TO REALITY

Jeremiah 29:11 is a beloved scripture, memorized by many. So full of hope and comfort. No matter what has been or where we are at the moment God wants to give us a brighter future. It gives us a set course, a target and it feels good.

If God is the guarantee for a brighter future I must also allow him to guide my steps here and now. If I want to experience the future God has paved out he must be granted access to every area of my life. If I go to the gym, it doesn’t matter if I have the best personal trainer in the world, if I don’t follow the instructions I won't get the results. Effective training is just as much about diet, rest and recovery as the exercise itself.

If we want to experience the hope God gives us we do best in turning to him for guidance in every aspect of life. Especially concerning our relationships.

God promised Abraham an amazing future where his offspring would become a blessing to all people. In the following verse Abraham immediately starts moving in the direction of the promised land without having a complete road map in hand.
