Day 17 – Repentance that leads to life

Godly repentance is a precious thing. It is the turning point where a man or woman stops going in the direction away from God and turns towards Him. It is much more than remorse for the deeds done. Repentance moves us away from sin and back towards God. When a heart is hardened by sin and deceived by Satan, there is little response to God, but when the Holy Spirit begins to move upon a person, everything changes.

Lord, I pray first of all that my heart will remain soft towards you, and never hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. I pray for those in my circle of family and friends who are yet to know You. I pray that you will move upon their hearts and bring them to repentance that leads to life and salvation.
