Enough: Lent DevotionalsHalimbawa

ENOUGH: JUSTICE
“...and if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” (Isaiah 58:10)
God of justice,
Thank you that you are on the side of the oppressed;
thank you that your Spirit bends towards the cries
of those whom society has let down.
Lord, we rage against inequality around the world,
against systems that favor those who already have wealth.
We lift up people living in poverty,
people struggling with the despair of financial debt,
people who see no way out.
Pour out your love O God; pour out provision;
pour out hope and healing and new life.
And move in our own hearts Lord: open our eyes
to see the need around us, then help us to extend our hands
in order to meet that need. Amen.

In God’s eyes, we are more than enough. It’s why He sent His son to reconcile us to Him. Though we may never grasp just how much He loves us, at Lent we can take time to reflect on all He did for us. It's time to reject the message that we aren’t enough, and instead remember Christ died for us, just as we are.
