HEAVEN IS WAITING: IN THE DIRECT PRESENCE OF GOD

If you listen for it, you will hear the word "heaven" pop up in people's talk now and then. "Heavenly" desserts and chocolate treats, Caribbean cruises, and therapeutic massages are all nice. Unfortunately, the things we call heavenly on earth are pale shadows of the grand reality.

In heaven your pain will be gone. You will get back all the Christian friends and loved ones that you laid to rest. You will live in absolute security, bothered no longer by Satan and his temptations. You will never sin again.

But the best is that you will be very, very close to, actually in the personal presence of, our God. You will be very close to the ultimate source of life, goodness, and love, and you will feel it throughout your being.

In Revelation 21:3 John writes, "I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with [people], and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.'"
