Exodus Exodus is a book of deliverance. The book begins with the story of the Israelites in bondage and the birth of a deliverer, Moses, who escapes death as an infant. God delivers the Israelites from Egyptian slavery through the baptism of the Red Sea. In chapter 15, we find a song of deliverance sung by Moses and the children of Israel. God gave the law to allow the people to live in freedom and celebrations to remember their deliverance.
