Master, the Tempest Is Ragingනියැදිය

YOU ARE CALLED TO BE HOLY!
God is Holy: Holiness is God’s nature and character. As recorded in Isaiah, the prophet heard the angels proclaim, “Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty.” God's standard of holiness surpasses our comprehension. But God says that we can be holy just like Him. Holiness means we are separated from the world and set apart for Jesus and for His honourable use. Holiness means we no longer live our lives for ourselves or on our own, but rather through Jesus. Holiness is, therefore, Christ living in me and through me!
Am I holy? Why does God call us to holiness? Man was created by God to have a relationship with Him, being created in His image. Since God is holy, He expects His image-bearers to be holy as well. Holiness enables us to have a close walk with Jesus and is a prerequisite for intimacy with God.
All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
In 1 John 1:8, it says - ‘If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us’ - God says we are liars. Consequently, none of us is inherently holy and we all need to be made holy. Holiness comes through confession, repentance, and sanctification. Following repentance, it is essential to allow the Holy Spirit to effect transformation within us, renewing us to have the mind of Christ and be like Him.
“If we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us of all our sins.” 1 John 1:9. Maybe you should take time and allow the Holy Spirit of God to show you the areas in which you have failed and the actions that have displeased Him.
Consider writing these down on a piece of paper. Once you confess the sins, the sin is exposed, and it is no longer a secret. Satan now begins to lose his power over your life; he must vacate your life. Unconfessed sins serve as a foothold and a legal right for satan, but when we confess our sin, he is kicked out. You now have to ask Jesus to sanctify you with His precious blood. It is essential to then secure the door, ensuring that you do not grant him the legal authority to re-enter your life.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, I thank You for helping me to recognize my sins. I thank You for Your blood. Please cleanse my heart, sanctify me with Your precious blood, and set me free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The disciples were caught in a storm while Jesus slept in their boat. They woke Him, pleading for help, and He miraculously calmed the storm. Similarly, in troubled marriages, we may seek God’s divine intervention, but God often focuses on transforming hearts. This devotional encourages opening our hearts to Jesus for the necessary support in a marital relationship. In order to restore a marriage relationship, God may sometimes choose just one spouse. You may be that one! We pray that this devotional will guide you in opening your heart to Jesus, allowing Him to provide the counsel you need.
