Master, the Tempest Is Ragingනියැදිය

CHASTITY IS POWERFUL!
No one likes advice. They prefer not to have anyone preach to them. The Word of God says - the unbelieving spouse can be won for the Lord by observing the chaste and respectful behaviour of the spouse. Your virtuous and holy life has the power to transform your spouse. It can do what words cannot.
What is the secret? Holiness is not just the behaviour; it is Christ in you. Jesus Christ in you is light. Light exposes what is in the dark. Darkness flees in the presence of the light. Therefore, stand up and let God’s light shine through your life.
Therefore, lead a holy and blameless life that can transform your spouse. This transformation is inevitable, as God works within their heart. Be patient as you await God’s timing. Be humble and gentle. Demonstrate the love of Jesus, while also maintaining a firm stance against sin.
Forgive to be forgiven: When sin is exposed, be prepared to forgive rather than condemn. Be willing to forgive your spouse so that you may be forgiven also. Do not harbour bitterness. Be willing to be gracious as Christ is gracious with our sins. Be willing to accept their apology. Ask God to fill your heart with His pure love for your spouse. It is difficult but not impossible. God will help you. Allow the blood of Jesus to sanctify you and your marriage bed. Surrender yourselves to the Lordship of Jesus in your lives.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I thank You for Your blood that cleanses all our sins and makes us holy. Now that I have received You as my personal Saviour, I believe my Holy life will be able to dispel the darkness in my marriage. I welcome You to set us free and reign in our hearts and in our marriage. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The disciples were caught in a storm while Jesus slept in their boat. They woke Him, pleading for help, and He miraculously calmed the storm. Similarly, in troubled marriages, we may seek God’s divine intervention, but God often focuses on transforming hearts. This devotional encourages opening our hearts to Jesus for the necessary support in a marital relationship. In order to restore a marriage relationship, God may sometimes choose just one spouse. You may be that one! We pray that this devotional will guide you in opening your heart to Jesus, allowing Him to provide the counsel you need.
