Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21 NKJV).
How passionate are you for the Lord?
David and Paul both faced great challenges but remained focused on pleasing God. David wrote, “One thing I have desired of the LORD…to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4 NKJV). Paul, in the face of opposition, said, “None of these things move me…so that I may finish my race with joy” (Acts 20:24 NKJV). Both derived their purpose and satisfaction from the Lord. Let their passion for God inspire you to actively seek and serve Him.
Employment Point: Actively seek and serve the living God.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
