Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

He has put a new song in my mouth—praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD (Psalm 40:3 NKJV).
Are people coming to Jesus because of your new song?
David is rescued from a dangerous situation and blesses the Lord with a new song (Psalm 40). Time and time again, the man of God experiences the Father’s protection and deliverance, which leads to songs of praise.
In the same way, Paul knew God’s ability to deliver him from peril (Acts 23:12–35). Paul and Silas, even before being set free from prison, were “praying and singing hymns to God” (Acts 16:25 NKJV). Their faith and praise led the prison guard and his family to Jesus (Acts 16:34). Our Heavenly Father’s salvation should inspire us to share our new song. The world needs to hear heaven’s tune through us!
Employment Point: Let the unsaved experience the saving power of your new song.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
