Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace (Psalm 29:11 NKJV).
Are you experiencing peace during difficult times?
Agabus predicted Paul’s suffering in Jerusalem. Paul responded, “I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 21:13 NKJV). His peace came from his dedication to God. When Paul faced hardships, he remembered that Jesus’ peace was with him, and it helped him to endure.
When you face an unseen hardship, you can try to control everything and end up angry and depressed. The wise thing to do in that moment is to stop, remind yourself of God’s presence and His peace that surpasses all understanding.
Employment Point: Anticipate Jesus’ peace because He is with you as you suffer.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
