Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 198 OF 365

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalm 23:1 NKJV).

Are you confident in God’s ability to care for you physically and spiritually?

David’s confidence in God’s protection is evident in Psalm 23:4 (NKJV), “I will fear no evil; for You are with me.” In the same way, Paul experienced God’s protection, raising Eutychus from the dead after he fell during Paul’s sermon. Both David and Paul knew, “The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need” (Psalm 23:1 NLT). Trust in God’s provision for all your needs, just as they did.

Go to God today in prayer and ask Him to provide for you in all areas of your life – no matter how big or small they may seem.

Employment Point: Rely upon the Shepherd’s provision both physically and spiritually.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
