The Spirit Promised to the Churchਨਮੂਨਾ

The Same Level of Glory, Power, and Majesty
In Luke 1:35, the Scripture also shows us the angel Gabriel’s appearance to Mary and how he reveals to her that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and the child to be born to her would be called the Son of God.
However, the greatest evidence to this comes from the Lord Jesus Himself, who before leaving the earth, tells His disciples:
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” - John 14:16–17
That word “another” used by Jesus is “allos” (Greek: ἄλλος), which means another of the same kind, rank, or authority. Jesus did not say He would leave behind an assistant or a helper of lesser rank, but rather One who is of the same degree of glory, power, and majesty.

About this Plan

Today we can say that the Church of Jesus Christ is of one mind regarding the Holy Spirit; we all know that He is God. Throughout this Bible study plan, we will learn a little more about the person of the Holy Spirit, His attributes, and His mission while answering three questions: If the Holy Spirit is God, why don't you worship Him as God? If the Holy Spirit is a person, why don't you speak to Him? If the Holy Spirit is the leader of the church, where have you placed Him?
