The Spirit Promised to the Church

DAY 5 OF 14

If the Holy Spirit Is God, Why Don’t You Worship Him as God?

The third attribute of God we’ll examine is His omnipresence—meaning that He is present everywhere. This is what David declares in Psalm 139, referring to the Holy Spirit. It’s important for you to know that He is everywhere, that’s why you’re never alone. If you are a child of God, the Holy Spirit is always with you.

Finally, let’s consider the eternity of God. Job declares that it was the Holy Spirit who created him. Only God can give life, therefore the Holy Spirit is God. He is the Creator, and He adorned the heavens.

Knowing that the Holy Spirit is God, a question arises in my heart for you today: If the Holy Spirit is God, why don’t you worship Him as God?

May it not be for you as it was for the people of Israel when the Son of God came to them:

“He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” —John 1:11

About this Plan

The Spirit Promised to the Church

Today we can say that the Church of Jesus Christ is of one mind regarding the Holy Spirit; we all know that He is God. Throughout this Bible study plan, we will learn a little more about the person of the Holy Spirit, His attributes, and His mission while answering three questions: If the Holy Spirit is God, why don't you worship Him as God? If the Holy Spirit is a person, why don't you speak to Him? If the Holy Spirit is the leader of the church, where have you placed Him?
