The Spirit Promised to the Churchਨਮੂਨਾ

The Apostles Knew It…
Let us now enter the great gallery of men of God found in the Bible. Let’s take a moment to examine the case of Peter, when a man named Ananias along with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property and promised to give a portion of the proceeds to God. When it was time to fulfil that promise, they went before the apostles, and after agreeing together to lie about the proceeds, they brought only a part of the amount promised.
It was then that Peter said to them:
“…Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” —Acts 5:3-4
In the Bible, the Apostle Paul also tells us that we are the temple of God, and later states that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit—thus affirming that the Holy Spirit is God.

About this Plan

Today we can say that the Church of Jesus Christ is of one mind regarding the Holy Spirit; we all know that He is God. Throughout this Bible study plan, we will learn a little more about the person of the Holy Spirit, His attributes, and His mission while answering three questions: If the Holy Spirit is God, why don't you worship Him as God? If the Holy Spirit is a person, why don't you speak to Him? If the Holy Spirit is the leader of the church, where have you placed Him?
