Awakening Faith: Hope From the Global Churchਨਮੂਨਾ

Welcome to this plan:
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling the world and sitting with believers in every kind of setting—from underground churches where faith is dangerous, to villages where revival is breaking out, to cafés in cities where Christianity feels irrelevant. In every place, I’ve seen something that fills me with hope: the global church is alive. The persecuted church shows us that Christ is worth any cost. The growing church reminds us that the harvest is plentiful. And even in post-Christian cultures, small flickers of faith shine with resilience. These men and women of God remind us all that God’s Kingdom is unshakable, and His Spirit is still at work.
As you walk through this plan, I pray these stories will stir your faith, expand your vision, and renew your courage. Together, let's join in God’s global story as we live as witnesses to His unending hope.
Faith Under Fire
The car sat idling in the shadows of a side street in Central Asia. Every head turned when footsteps echoed nearby. A small group of believers was waiting for the signal that the coast was clear before slipping quietly into an underground worship gathering.
One of them chuckled under his breath: “If this goes sideways, at least we’ll start a prison ministry.” Everyone laughed, but only because they knew the risk was real. Faith here isn’t a Sunday routine; it is a costly allegiance. Surveillance cameras, police raids, and imprisonment aren’t possibilities. They are probabilities. Yet these brothers and sisters still gather, still sing, still pray. Their courage is not rooted in safety but in obedience.
Sitting in that car, I realized how quickly I compromise for comfort. How easily I justify silence when I should speak, or distraction when I should pray. My friends had counted the cost and found Christ worth everything. I had to ask myself: would I?
Faith under fire is not about recklessness. It is about trust. It is the kind of trust Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego displayed when they faced the flames. They did not know if God would rescue them, but they knew they would not bow.
Where are you tempted to bow to comfort rather than stand with Christ?
