The Kid: An Advent Devotional for High Schoolersਨਮੂਨਾ

God came to Earth as a human. This fact is a foundational part of the Christian belief, but sometimes, I wonder why God did it. Why did God feel the need to live as a human? Why would God become like us and be with us here on Earth? Scripture reminds us that God took on human form because God wanted to be with us. God became human to show us how to live—to give us an example to follow on Earth. We find that example in Jesus, who is God in human form. His arrival at Christmas as God in the flesh changed everything for us.

Jesus wants us to know He loves us enough to come to our world and live as we live. Let us never lose sight of what God on Earth with us means, both at Christmas and beyond.
