Do you ever just get overwhelmed by all the tough things that are happening in the world? We don't have to look far to see the many things that are wrong with our world today. It can be debilitating to think we need to immediately solve all our problems. You might wonder if we were meant to solve everything. It makes you think — if the thought of solving these problems is so overwhelming, maybe we were never meant to fix anything.
You can imagine the man Jesus encounters on the roadside is overwhelmed by his own problems. As he tries to grab Jesus' attention, the crowd starts to tell him to pipe down and be quiet! How often are we met with a demand to be quiet when we bring up the crises of our day? Jesus not only hears the man but asks, “What can I do for you?” More than that, he meets the man's needs because they matter to Jesus.
What is one way that you can bring healing to a problem our world is facing today?

About this Plan

We all want to make a difference! We dream of making an impact and making the world a better place. The people who’ve made the biggest differences did it with other people. Jesus gave his followers a mission that would change the world — not as individuals, but as a group on a mission together. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore this mission.
