Have you ever had that feeling in your body where it seems like you are carrying the world? Take a moment to pause and recall it. How does that feel? Maybe a bit of anxiety comes to mind as you think about having the world on your shoulders. It can be pretty overwhelming when we feel like we're carrying the entire world like it could fall apart at any moment. Just know this is something that so many people wrestle with — you aren't alone.
What's beautiful about Jesus is that though he wants us to be part of spreading and living out God's love to the world, it doesn't all fall on our shoulders. Sharing and living out the good news of Jesus isn't something that depends solely on you. Luke writes in the book of Acts that God is still present and active even when we rest. We can rest knowing that it doesn't all depend on us!
How can you remind yourself that God’s in control and you’re part of a bigger picture?

About this Plan

We all want to make a difference! We dream of making an impact and making the world a better place. The people who’ve made the biggest differences did it with other people. Jesus gave his followers a mission that would change the world — not as individuals, but as a group on a mission together. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore this mission.
