Sent Togetherਨਮੂਨਾ

An African proverb says, "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together." Imagine doing something new for the first time and going about it alone. It can be pretty daunting to have to do what you've been asked to do solo. Some people might love it in the beginning, but the reality eventually sets in that we need encouragement, love, strength, and community as we continue the journey.
This is probably why Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs rather than solo. It can get pretty discouraging being in a new place with people you don't know. You can imagine there were many times when the disciples grouped up to discuss their day and were like, "Did this just happen to us?" Or celebrate those special moments! We all need friends we can talk to when things get tough.
What friend do you go to when sharing about Jesus gets hard?

About this Plan

We all want to make a difference! We dream of making an impact and making the world a better place. The people who’ve made the biggest differences did it with other people. Jesus gave his followers a mission that would change the world — not as individuals, but as a group on a mission together. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore this mission.
