GOD RULES AND REIGNS BY HIS WORD

Heaven has no parliament, no senate, no elections. Heaven is not a democracy.

Heaven has a God who sits on the throne. Who rules and reigns by the word that proceeds from His mouth. He is the highest authority. No one questions Him or gives Him advice.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the triune God is self-sufficient. This God needs no-one, although He is a God of love. This God is holy, although He forgives sins and trespasses. He is the highest authority, although He deeply cares for the fatherless, the widows, orphans, and strangers. This God deeply cares for human beings, for their pain, their rejection, and their brokenness.

Heaven is a place of light and joy! A place of obedience and awe, as well as worship and humility.

The throne of heaven is surrounded by worshipers.

Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. (Ps 103:20)

Angels surround His throne. They bless and worship the living God. Worship around the throne softens and prepares the heart of angels to heed His word and do His word. Angels excel in strength because they heed (hear, listen, and obey) the voice of His word. Soft hearts move with God. Soft hearts do His word. Soft hearts are ready to go. The Potter prefers soft clay.

Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. (Ps 103:21)

The angels are the organized armies of heaven. They are servants willing to do His will and pleasure. They are at His disposal all the time. Jesus said, “Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?” (Mat 26:53) That equates to 72,000 angels organized in 12 armies at His disposal! He chose God’s will, the cross, rather than what was at His disposal.

Bless the LORD, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul! (Ps 103:22 )

We must bless* Him by going down on our knees, acknowledging His Lordship, with a soft heart and a willingness to obey and do His word. This happens 24/7 in heaven. All the time! It is the culture of heaven. No wonder His word carries absolute authority in heaven! Lovesick worshipers turn promptly into 72,000 mighty army warriors by the voice of His word! Want to join His army? Become a worshiper before His throne.

Father, I choose to soften my heart in awe and worship of who You are. Change me into everything You want me to be!
