Day 2

KINGDOM – THE KEY TO UNDERSTAND GOD AND HIS WORD

Jesus became God in human packaging. The God we could smell, see, touch, fellowship with, and behold. For ages and ages, Jesus was with God in heaven. He lived in a close-knit union with the Father. Heaven was His home. Heaven was His heart and lifestyle. Jesus Himself was God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. (John 1: 1)

Jesus gave up everything in heaven to become a human being. The message of this God-man from heaven to sinful earthly human beings was, “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Mat 4:17) Jesus is saying, “In Me heaven has come to earth and touched you.” To be part of it, you need to repent. To repent means to change your mind from everything that is earthly and sinful to that which is heavenly and righteous.

Heavenly reality:

·Centers around the living God

·This living God sits on the throne

·The living God rules and reigns from the throne

·The living God rules and reigns by the word that proceeds from His mouth

·In heaven, His word carries absolute authority

·His throne is surrounded by worship, adoration, and awe.

·Worshipping angels around His throne are always willing and ready to execute His word, hence they are called ministering spirits

What is happening in heaven and the way things are done in heaven is what Jesus calls “the kingdom of heaven.”

The only way to see the kingdom and to enter the kingdom is to be born again.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God. I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.” (John 3:3-5)

The only way to see, enter, and be part of His kingdom is to be birthed by His Spirit. To be birthed from above. To be born again or born anew.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ”You must be born again.“ (John 3:6-7)

Moses lifted up the bronze snake in the desert, and everyone who looked at it was healed from the poison of the snakes that had bitten them. So, Jesus was lifted on a cross to bring life, never-ending life, God-life, to everyone who believes in Him. He took their punishment and died in their place. (John 3:14-17)

Father, Thank you that Jesus’ death and resurrection made it possible to be born again by Your Holy Spirit to become a child of God.
