## WHEN TRUST IS SHAKEN Have you ever experienced loss, or grief? A time when what you were hoping for didn’t happen? When you didn’t see the miracle you were so fervently praying for? Through these situations, when our trust could be shaken, we learn that trust in God cannot be based on circumstances alone. Trust can’t be based on what we can see, but in who God is . We may not feel God’s presence, but Psalm 125 assures us: “the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forevermore.” (NIV) In seasons where we can’t see what’s around the corner, or we feel like we’re walking in darkness; we can trust the character of God. We know that He is faithful and that He keeps His promises, even if the circumstances around us are shaky. In the seasons when our trust is shaken, we can trust that God is who He says He is.
