## THE BLESSING OF WORK It can be easy to try to separate the routine, everyday, natural parts of our lives from the spiritual part of our lives. We can so easily find ourselves pursuing our careers, and ignore the God who gives purpose to them. But Psalm 127 reminds us that we labor in vain if we do it separately from God. There is such great encouragement in the fact that we are not striving to build something ourselves; we actually get to be a part of what God is building. When we approach whatever is in front of us with the perspective that God wants to be involved, it’s amazing what excitement it can bring to our job. Let our prayer be “God, help me find what you want in today.” Let’s be willing to give everything that we have to God, and trust that He will bless it. Then we can then end of the day with the satisfaction that we have given it to Him as worship. We can pursue our work, bring it to God in submission, and find His blessing in it.
