A Believer in the Music Industry... Is That Possible?Sýnishorn

Maybe it is good to mention the power of music and the influence on our unconsciousness. As research has shown, music can influence our unconsciousness to act a certain way.
Although this might go a bit too deep for this reading plan, it is good to be aware of this as a musician, but especially as a listener. You could even say: if we can be influenced by music, influence people with music and lyrics inspired by God.
If you would follow this line of thought as a creator, you will see you might end up creating christian music in a christian bubble with a lot of christian musicians and listeners. Yet, as a believer, don’t we want to execute the last assignment Jesus gave us?
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations (...)” (Matt. 28:19, NLT)
It says: “make disciples of all nations”, not: “Teach my disciples who are already disciples.” Although I believe there are people with the calling to teach, I believe for my life, I may focus on those who are not a disciple yet. So yes, I think you can be active in the music industry - or any industry, as long as God calls you to be.
To which field of work have you been called by God? 🫵 To which part of the body are you called to occupy? And are you ready, or do you have to be trained a little bit? All in Go(o)d time!
- The music I write as an artist might also not be considered as ‘christian’. But it does support my personal story about identity, sexuality and faith. Curious? Have a listen to my album called ‘Who Am I’. I pray it may inspire you: www.daryljaykyle.com .
