The Holy Spirit Gives Birth to the Promise of God in Our Lives

Many people try to fulfill God's promises in their own strength. An example of this is Abraham, who begot Ishmael, when God's promise was Isaac.

How many of us produce Ishmaels in our own strength. But Isaac is born through dunamis power, which fills us when the Holy Spirit is poured into our lives. That electrical power gives us the ability to wait for the fulfillment of God's promise and not generate a sad result with our own strength.

The Spirit will always do what we cannot do, He will take us where we cannot go, He will always save lost hearts and He will always restore broken marriages, because the Spirit of God fulfills the promise.

As long as we live saying, "Fill me, Lord, and now fill me again, and now again," we will dwell under the influence of the Spirit.  And in this way, we will be able to witness His power, we will be filled with His strength and love to reach the lost, we will be able to reflect the fruits of the Spirit.

Also, many believe that the fullness of the Spirit is only about outward evidence, like speaking in tongues. But I wonder if the fullness of the Holy Spirit is demonstrated by the tongues we speak or by the life we live. It is better to show the fruit of the Spirit, to have self-control, to walk in love, to be kind to the lost, than to speak in tongues.

You may be looking for God's gifts and promises, and because you don't see them in your life yet, you think you have failed. My friend, today I'm here to remind you that the gifts we receive say nothing about us, but say everything about who our God is. We will receive His promises and gifts in due time, without seeking them, because they are a gift from God, given by grace.

Let's live under the influence of the Holy Spirit, so that we can be filled with courage, love, joy, peace, and comfort; let's be filled with Him every day in order to see God's promise in our lives!

Prayer: Help me, Lord, to live under Your influence to bless others, remembering that the Holy Spirit will fulfill His promise in my life, beyond any current situation. In Jesus' name. Amen.
