The Holy Spirit Fills Us With Bravery

We all have something that generates insecurity in our lives. Sometimes it is difficult for us to share our testimony or invite others to church. Sometimes we are simply just shy. And that limits us, prevents us from reaching the plans that God has for us.

We need the Holy Spirit every day, because The Holy Spirit fills us with courage.

In Acts 2, after the disciples were filled with the power of the Spirit, they went out and began to preach about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus to the rulers. But as they were preaching the Gospel, those who were accusing them also appeared. For when God is operating differently than man is, when what He is doing does not fit human formulas, that is when criticism appears.

Many believe that for me to share a message on a platform is an easy task. However, thinking about that moment keeps me awake seven days a week, because there is a fear of God in my heart. Every time I am about to share a message, I ask the Holy Spirit to fill and use me, despite my imperfections.

We all need courage in one way or another. Maybe you need it every day to go to work, or to go to school, or to college; maybe you need courage to share your faith with your friends, to make decisions in your family, or to face a difficult situation. Don't be discouraged! We're not the kind of people who back down! Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the courage that will make a difference.

Prayer: Father, fill me with the courage that comes through the Holy Spirit, so that I may do what I dare not do with only my own strength, and make a difference. In Jesus' name. Amen.
